Saniflo Sanivite Laundry & Sink Gray Water Pump
Ideal for adding a laundry room or kitchen to virtually any space in your home or business, the Saniflo SaniVITE pumps vertically up to 16 feet and is easy to install. Each kit includes the Saniflo SaniVITE, an optional descaler that cleans, removes, and softens hard water deposits throughout the macerator, and the SaniALARM system that sets off an alarm if the water in the macerating unit rises to a dangerously high level.
Unlike other gray water pumps, the Saniflo SaniVITE can pump waste up to 16 feet up to the sewer line and over 150 feet away from a soil stack. This fact makes the SaniVITE ideal for use in basement apartments or virtually anywhere else in the house where additional fixtures are required. This unit will pump waste water out and away from a large selection of sources, including the kitchen sink, washing machine, and dishwasher.
Designed to hold up to the toughest use, this unit is perfect for various light to heavy-duty residential and commercial uses. Ask about the 2-year full manufacturer warranty, as well as the extended SaniVITE 3-year warranty available with product registration.

How the Saniflo Sanivite Laundry Pump Works
The inside of the SaniVITE laundry pump is comprised of a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the pump. When water enters the SaniVITE, a micro switch in the pressure chamber activates, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil-filled enclosure. A spindle/shaft drives the impeller, and therefore, the moving parts are kept to an absolute minimum. Water enters the chamber and is pumped away into the sanitary sewer.
The unit pumps the effluent upward to 16 feet and/or 150 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water is discharged and the water level in the container goes down, the micro switch deactivates the unit until water enters the unit again. A normal operating cycle can be as short as 2–10 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration; power consumption is therefore kept to a minimum.
In addition to a sink, the laundry pump will also accept and discharge wastewater from a variety of other sanitary fixtures, such as a shower, a bathtub, a urinal, and a whirlpool. When adding a bathtub or shower, a base will have to be constructed. This base should be 2" x 6" (minimum) or 2" x 8" (recommended) on edge to allow for the installation of a P-trap and the required 1/4" per foot gravity flow toward the laundry pump unit.
Wastewater from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the unit via two 1-1/2-inch inlets on either side of the housing and an additional inlet on the top of the unit. Depending on the discharge pipe installation, the discharge elbow on top of the SaniVITE laundry pump can be turned either to the left, to the right, or toward the back. A non-return valve, which comes already assembled on the discharge elbow, prevents backflow into the unit.
The Saniflo SaniVITE pump has been designed with a vent connection on the lid. All plumbing codes require a connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent. The use of mechanical vents, air admittance valves, or similar devices are not permitted, as these are considered one-way air vent systems.
This Saniflo sink pump is small enough to fit comfortably inside a kitchen cabinet or vanity or inside the overhang of a whirlpool. It is also highly recommended that the gray water pump to be connected to a ground fault interrupter (GFI) circuit.
Plumbing Code Certified:
This pump has been certified to American and Canadian standards. Electrical standard UL 788, CA: Electrical standard CSA C22.2.
