The Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 is a pre-assembled heavy-duty duplex grinder pump designed to meet the demands of commercial and residential sewage applications. Constructed from durable stainless steel, this grinder pump grinds solids into a fine slurry, which pumps up through a 1-1/2" discharge. The Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 pump is designed to handle multiple waste fixtures for applications ranging from residential homes to commercial buildings, schools, and even rental properties.

The Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 system is made to last: comprised of dual 1-HP motors inside a highly durable plastic enclosure that’s as compact as it is functional, this grinder bucks the norm and goes its own way. During operation, each Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 grinder operates independently to offer a high-performance process. The fast-rotating cutting blade reduces solids expelled from toilets, tubs and showers, sinks, washing machines, dishwashers, etc., and creates a passable slurry for the pump to handle.

Are you worried about installation? Don’t be. Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 operation is as straightforward as its installation. Waste material simply enters the pump through one of five inlets: three along the top and one on either side of the unit. Each inlet accommodates 1-1/2" to 4" diameter pipes. 

Once the waste water level reaches the system’s trigger point, the pumping system activates. The effluent is then pumped through a 1-1/2" diameter rigid pipe connected to the top of the pump. At its maximum, this pump can move effluent 36 ft vertically and/or 328 ft horizontally.

Inside the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 pump, there are pressure switches and a circuit board assembly. These features start and stop the unit. The Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 unit also contains two motors, which power the pump and the cutting blades. To ensure longevity and functionality, the motors are perpetually sealed in an oil-filled enclosure to keep them from debris and friction.

A durable shaft drives the impeller and the macerator blades, and all moving parts within the system are kept to a minimum. Water and organic waste matter enter the enclosure and are reduced to a slurry, at which point they are obtained by the impeller, which is mounted beneath the motor.

Each of the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 grinders operates alternately, taking turns handling wastewater. This keeps usage even and ensures that one grinder does not wear out well before another. If either pump ceases to operate, however, the other pump will kick in and run continuously, which gives you time to have the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 system serviced and eliminate ongoing problems.

The Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 also features smart pump operation. A single pump can handle 50 gpm without overloading or struggling. If the incoming rate is higher than the outgoing rate, the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 pumps kick into the overload stage, which ensures the second pump activates. Both pumps operate at once until the discharge condition is reduced. If the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 system encounters a problem during this process, it will deploy a visual LED alarm on the unit and an audible alarm.

On the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 system, the effluent pipe leading into the pump must be installed with the required ¼"/foot gravity flow. For the system to operate properly, there must be a 10" height difference between the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 pump and the connecting fixture.

Waste water discharges into the grinder pump via five 1½-inch or 4" inlets on either side of the housing and on the top of the enclosure. Each internal discharge pipe comes equipped with check valves designed to prevent damaging backflow into the Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 unit. Isolating valves (including the ball and gate valves) must be installed on waste inlets and the discharge pipe. This keeps maintenance and repair safe for the system and the professional doing it.

The Saniflo SaniCUBIC 2 unit is also designed with a 1-1/2" vent connection on the top of the enclosure. Plumbing codes require connection to a vent system and a two-way air vent. Mechanical vents, air admittance valves and similar devices are not permitted since they are considered one-way air vent systems.
