Sanigrind Pro
The Saniflo Sanigrind Pro is a durable macerating pump designed to facilitate full bathroom additions. Capable of pumping vertically up to 25 feet, the Sanigrind Pro connects with standard, bottom-outlet toilets, washing machines, toilets, sinks, showers, and/or bathtubs to process effluent and pump it vertically up to 25 feet below the sewer line and horizontally up to 150 feet from a soil stack.
While most standard macerating pumps use shredders, the Saniflo Sanigrind Pro incorporates a grinder into its operation system. This makes the unit durable and ideal for situations where you can not completely control what goes down the toilet, such as residential and commercial applications.
Thanks to its grinder, the Saniflo Sanigrind Pro can process things like dental floss, sanitary napkins, and feminine hygiene products without clogging or breaking. Equipped with a full 4-year manufacturer warranty, you can install a complete bathroom for your home or business with peace of mind.

Product Description
The Sanigrind Pro is a system used to install a complete bathroom up to 25 feet below the sewer line or even up to 150 feet away from a soil stack. This unit can handle the effluent from a toilet, sink, bathtub, shower and washing machine (indirect connection).
While most of our pump range consists of shredders/macerators, the Saniflo Sanigrind Pro incorporates an actual grinder system. It is ideal for situations where you do not control its use (i.e., a rental unit, offices, warehouses, etc.). It is designed to deal with sanitary napkins that may have been flushed down the toilet; such may consist of sanitary napkins, q-tips, dental floss, etc.
Note: In commercial installations, plumbing codes require connection to an elongated bowl (ADA) with the Saniflo Sanigrind Pro system.
Warranty: 2-Year Full Manufacturer Warranty
Extended 4-Year Warranty with Product Registration (www.Saniflo.com/Register)
How It Works
The inside of the Sanigrind Pro comprises a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the stainless steel cutting blade and the pump. When the flush is activated, the water flowing into the Sanigrind Pro activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil-filled enclosure.
A common spindle/shaft drives the impeller and the blades, keeping the moving parts to an absolute minimum. Water and organic waste matter enter the chamber and are reduced to slurry as the blades rotate at 3600 RPM. The reduced solids are picked up at the bottom, and the impeller mounted beneath the motor ejects the waste from the toilet system.
The unit pumps the effluent upward to 25 feet below the sewer line or even 150 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water level in the container goes down, the micro switch deactivates. The operating cycle for the Saniflo Sanigrind Pro varies depending on the discharge pipe run configuration.
In addition, the Sanigrind Pro will also discharge gray water from a variety of other sanitary fixtures such as a sink, a bathtub/shower, a urinal and even a washing machine (indirect connection). When adding a bathtub/shower, there should be a height difference between the bottom side inlet of the pump and the base of the bathtub or shower. This height difference should be 6" (minimum) or 8" (recommended) to allow for the installation of a P-trap and the required 1/4" per foot gravity flow toward the pump unit.
Wastewater from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the Sanigrind Pro via two 2-inch inlets on either side of the housing. Depending on the discharge installation, the discharge elbow on top of the Sanigrind Pro can be rotated 360 degrees. A non-return valve (included in the assembly) prevents backflow into the unit.
The Sanigrind Pro has been designed with a vent connection on the lid. All plumbing codes require a connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent. Using mechanical vents, air admittance valves or similar devices is not permitted as these are considered one-way air vent systems. The system is highly recommended to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.
Periodic maintenance can be accomplished easily without disconnecting the unit from the toilet or the rest of the plumbing system. A service contractor can easily access the electrical components and the pump's level sensor mechanism through a service panel.
The Sanigrind Pro unit must be connected to a standard toilet with a bottom outlet. The maximum distance from a toilet should be no more than 36 inches.
Plumbing Code Certified
The Sanigrind Pro has been certified by American and Canadian standards. Macerating standard; US: CSA Certified & IAPMO (UPC) listed - ASME A112.3.4, CA: Macerating Standard CSA B45.9.
